Second grade students worked hard to create these relief sculptures out of toilet paper rolls. We looked at different kinds of bugs and thought about what kinds we would see in a garden. The students cut the paper rolls into segments that were about 1 inch tall. Then, students used small pieces of tape to join them together to make different kinds of bugs. Some students also made plants, flowers and birds. After joining them together, the students used acrylic paint to color them. Cant wait to make a garden installation on the walls in the hallway!
Welcome students, parents, teachers and friends! Here's a space to see what's new in the art room! Read about the concepts and skills we have learned, and look at sample artwork! Check back often for new and updated posts! And leave us a comment so we know you were here! Enjoy!!! -Mrs. Gonzalez (the art teacher formerly known as Ms. Weymouth!)
