4th and 5th grade this week are working together to create a creature sculpted out of masking tape and manila paper. They have to combine 4 different types of animals (which they are given at random) - and they have to complete their sculpture in ONE CLASS PERIOD!!! It's a tough challenge, but I'm proud to say these students have proved themselves creative, cooperative problem-solvers! Here's a look at some of their collaborative work. (This one-day lesson is going to serve as a warm-up for longer, more complex unit.) Can't wait to see more solutions to this creative challenge!
Don't you just love the creativity of elementary school students!
